Facility description:

Technical modernization. Disassembly/Assembly of automation equipment, development of application software for pumps monitoring and control, implementation of algorithms for a distributed control system (DCS) and a safety instrumented system (SIS). Alarm indication and pump locking when limit values are exceeded. Implementation of a mimic diagram for an operator workstation.

List of works performed:
  • Development of design documentation and its approval by the Customer
  • Supply of equipment and materials
  • Implementation of application software for DCS and SIS
  • Connection and installation of temperature and vibration sensors for bearings after installation of a new pump with further connection to the existing APCS.
  • Start-up and adjustment
  • Elimination of identified deficiencies

Start-up and adjustment:
  • Installation of new pumps
  • Configuring i/o signals in DCS and SIS
  • Development of application software, implementation of pump control algorithms and SIS automatic triggering in case of an accident
  • Establishing communication between DCS and SIS at one APCS level via internal data transmission algorithms
  • Implementation of the operator interface (mimic diagram)
  • Testing of the developed application software in the Centum CS3000 DCS
  • Elimination of identified deficiencies

  • Upper level — Centum CS 3000 DCS and ProSafe-RS SIS
